Proverbs 11 | King James Bible |
Chapter 12 | |
| Whoso loveth6 instruction loveth6 knowledge: but he that hateth6 reproof [is] brutish. |
| A good [man] obtaineth55 favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.55 |
| A man shall not be established11 by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.11 |
| A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed56 [is] as rottenness in his bones. |
| The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit. |
| The words of the wicked [are] to lie in wait2 for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver55 them. |
| The wicked are overthrown,2 and [are] not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.4 |
| A man shall be commended29 according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse12 heart shall be despised. |
| [He that is] despised,12 and hath a servant, [is] better than he that honoureth102 himself, and lacketh bread. |
| A righteous [man] regardeth6 the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked [are] cruel. |
| He that tilleth6 his land shall be satisfied4 with bread: but he that followeth18 vain [persons is] void of understanding. |
| The wicked desireth1 the net of evil [men]: but the root of the righteous yieldeth4 [fruit]. |
| The wicked is snared by the transgression of [his] lips: but the just shall come out4 of trouble. |
| A man shall be satisfied4 with good by the fruit of [his] mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered55 7725 4 unto him. |
| The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth6 unto counsel [is] wise. |
| A fool's wrath is presently known:11 but a prudent [man] covereth6 shame. |
| [He that] speaketh55 truth sheweth forth55 righteousness: but a false witness deceit. |
| There is that speaketh6 like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health. |
| The lip of truth shall be established11 for ever: but a lying tongue [is] but for a moment.55 |
| Deceit [is] in the heart of them that imagine6 evil: but to the counsellors6 of peace [is] joy. |
| There shall no evil happen29 to the just: but the wicked shall be filled1 with mischief. |
| Lying lips [are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal6 truly [are] his delight. |
| A prudent man concealeth6 knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth4 foolishness. |
| The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:4 but the slothful shall be under tribute. |
| Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:55 but a good word maketh it glad.17 |
| The righteous [is] more excellent55 than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth55 them. |
| The slothful [man] roasteth4 not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man [is] precious. |
| In the way of righteousness [is] life; and [in] the pathway 1870 [thereof there is] no death. |
